When I received them I almost sent them back because they have a serious V response. The highs were so loud I had to turn the volume down. The bass was very loud, and any boost in bass resulted in some serious, nasty headbanging. The bass was so bad it encroached on the lower mids. I was very disappointed and wanted to put them in a box with broken headphones. But I decided to do something I don't normally believe in, I burned through the headphones during the day and surprisingly the V signature relaxed into a comfortable sound signature that I was able to enjoy. Bass and treble are now balanced with the mids. So with these headphones, working with dynamic drivers made a surprising difference. So now I can listen to them for hours and enjoy the sound and I can say that the soundstage was pretty good which was the biggest surprise. Sound quality is good, voices are clear. It's amazing that they are so cheap and the sound is decent. Now they don't compete with expensive compensation headphones, but for a dual dynamic driver that costs $18 it's a good buy if you need something with a mic and don't have to worry about breaking it. The kit includes various silicone tips, a shirt clip and a cleaning tool. Even the cable was good; not too stiff, does not knot and looks good. Headphones with included earbuds were difficult to keep in my ears. I've tried every tip and they didn't provide a good seal or secure fit. I put on a pair of Comply ear tips for comfort and not only did the sound improve, but the fit was comfortable and secure enough for me to wear in the could carry bed to watch a movie. All in all, if you're on a budget of just $20, these are decent headphones for general use, and a microphone is a really nice plus. I ordered the red version without the mic, but Revain sent me the version with the mic. Thanks Revain, the red looks great.
