Great value

Reason for 5 stars: Price $30 Car: Hyundai Sonata Limited 2016 Pros: - Easy installation (new car) - Good visibility (night/cloudy day) - Comprehensive installation kit - Good Default view (panel based on Speed/RPM), no need to mess around with settings. With the magnetic ball head (included), you can easily adjust the angle for a better view. Cons: Poor visibility on sunny days with polarized sunglasses. The instructions are useless. Reflective Foil (included) After buying a new Santa Fe with a built in HUD, I decided to try one for my Sonata. Obviously this is a lot simpler than the built-in option, but good enough for $30. This gives you what you need (speed + RPM based panel). With the 2016 Sonata, installation was easy in less than 5 minutes without reading a useless (small print and illogical) manual. I chose the included magnetic ball stand as it allows me to adjust the viewing angle and also remove it when parking in an unsafe area (I don't want someone breaking my window because they don't know what a cheap HUD it is is ) . On the Sonata I was able to reattach (tightly) the diagnostic port cover to keep it looking nice. I also attached the cable to the side of the door (not visible unless you open the door wide), so overall it looks pretty good. Visibility is great on overcast days and nights, but there's secondary ghosting as most new windshields are double. Blackboard. Even on sunny days

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
