One of my family members was prescribe the Zio XT (patch heart monitor) for 14 days for Cardiac heart monitoring (instead of wearing the houter) so as to provide un-interruped EKG for daily activities. However, the monitor needs to be protected from moisture and water. No shower should be taken the first 24 hours. In hot weather and with sweating, it's extremely uncomfortable and un-hygienic not to shower. But with the help of the AquaGuard cover the whole Zio XT patch, the patient can take showers. This guard works very well, we just need to order a size bigger than the medical equipment that is involved. I hope drug stores or pharmacies all carry this item. For longer term supply, revain is still the best as pricing is better. Am surprised that Rite-Aid, Walgreens, CVS, Walmart all do not carry such item.
