Review on 🌀 Hikari Bacto-Surge High Density Foam Filter: Enhance Filtration Performance with Large Size by Carl Ferguson

I have this filter in my tank and I don't notice any filtration. The particles just float and don't seem to be attracted to it. I stick to my HOB when it comes to filtering because I love the look of clean water. But the hob must have a filter thread to remove particles from the water. Just having a sponge or bio-ring does not purify or "polish" the water. I replaced my bio rings with filter floss because my water didn't look as clean as it could have been. My nitrates and nitrites were zero on both filter media. So I just choose to floss for cleaner water. I left the sponge for bacteria but not for filtration.
