best for clean water.

I have nothing bad to say about this product. This is the first time I see my aquarium crystal clear. I like him. The reviews said it was really big but I actually like the way it looks in my tank. This is how it works for me, I have a fish that loves to sleep on it. I will definitely buy this again. Finally crystal clear water. Thank you.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Good but not great

They take the sponge filter to the next level.

They take the sponge filter to the next level by offering the same effective solution as sponge filters, and it comes with a built in air duct that extends to the bottom of the filter, so you don't need the typical extension air line do not install down into the filter and there is no need to cover them with an air stone as once again they are in charge of everything with an air diffusion chamber at the bottom of the filter. Management.

High quality sponge filter - I would definitely buy again.

Works great, perfect for fighting fish or those who prefer slow currents. I am currently using this reservoir and everything is going well with this filter. High quality foam and easy installation. I had to weigh it down with stones. The base is weighted, but it wasn't enough to stop it from rising. He lay there for a few hours and then started swimming. However, it's okay. I would definitely buy it again and can only recommend it. In fact, I'll probably be buying another quarantine spongeโ€ฆ

Backup in case of power failure

I have this filter in my tank and I don't notice any filtration. The particles just float and don't seem to be attracted to it. I stick to my HOB when it comes to filtering because I love the look of clean water. But the hob must have a filter thread to remove particles from the water. Just having a sponge or bio-ring does not purify or "polish" the water. I replaced my bio rings with filter floss because my water didn't look as clean as it could have been. My nitrates and nitrites were zero on

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house
Cons
  • Older model

I've never heard of this type of filter, but my OCD daughter has heard of perfection. So we added one to their 40 gallon tank. It has many living plants and the water has always been muddy. No longer. Crystal clear and critical water readings are back to normal within 2 days. Couldn't be happier! Pros: Really rids the water of live plants, water tint, cloudiness and some dirt from play sand. Recirculation filter doesn't work No noise Inexpensive Easy to clean Cons: Large and can be an eyesoreโ€ฆ

Think carefully!

While this is a great sponge filter (no doubt about it!), it may not be what you need. First off, it's HUGE! I underestimated its size. I have a heavily planted 40 gallon tank of driftwood and I had a hard time squeezing it in there. It never comes out. Second, if you want small aeration bubbles, this isn't it! The bubbles are HUGE too. I can try hacking the Airstone I read about. I bought this to use as backup filtration and aeration with a battery powered pump in the event of a power outageโ€ฆ
