Review on 🌀 Hikari Bacto-Surge High Density Foam Filter: Enhance Filtration Performance with Large Size by Nikki Shen

I've never heard of this type of filter, but my OCD daughter has heard of perfection. So we added one to their 40 gallon tank. It has many living plants and the water has always been muddy. No longer. Crystal clear and critical water readings are back to normal within 2 days. Couldn't be happier! Pros: Really rids the water of live plants, water tint, cloudiness and some dirt from play sand. Recirculation filter doesn't work No noise Inexpensive Easy to clean Cons: Large and can be an eyesore in a smaller tank. Surround yourself with plants if you can. See photo. A picture with a thermometer also serves as an overview of the thermostat. Please note that we added it to the traditional recirculation filter. It did a much better job of cleaning the water.
