Review on Pediped Girls Minnie Glitter Regular Girls' Shoes and Athletic: Sparkle & Support for Active Girls by James Beird

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great water shoes but size 23 is uncomfortable.

I originally bought these shoes in a size EU 23 (US 7) for my 23 month old daughter to wear to the pool/beach in the summer. She is at the stage where her legs are getting too long for a size 6.5 shoe so I figured a size 7 would be perfect. However, they were HUGE! She has long, slender feet, so pedipeds usually fit her much better than many other brands of toddler shoes that are designed for toddlers with thicker feet. But not with these Minnie Pediped Sandals. The size 7 (EU 23) was so much longer than her size EU 22 (US 6-6.5) Pediped that her feet were floating in it (sorry for the pun) and she kept tripping over it. I ended up buying Minnie a size 22 sandal and although it fits her now her toes are right on the front of the shoe so due to the smaller size she won't be wearing much. . There will be a period of at least a few months when my daughter's feet are too long for a size 22 sandal but too small for a size 23 sandal. Such an uncomfortable size is such a shame because otherwise these are great water sandals. comfortable, quick-drying and beneficial for the development of young feet (recognized by the American Podiatry Association). A Velcro closure makes it easy to put on and take off, while a rubber bumper on the front of the shoe prevents pressure points on sensitive toes. But for shoes that cost over $40, Pediped might offer more appropriate sizing. Grade: B+.
