I'll be the first to admit that I usually go for the cheapest solution when I buy what I need. There are exceptions to this, but shoes have never been one of them. I work on a farm so my boots break. I usually get about a year off a $60 pair at Walmart. However, this year my new pair didn't even last a year, the inside was worn and I got blisters and chafing on my legs where the wear was. So I gave up, looked for better boots and tried these. I have bought Carhartt coats and hats before and know what a quality brand they are. Not only will I say these are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, I will say they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever had. Even if I put gel insoles in other shoes/boots. I've already put them to the test on a few levels, tested the waterproofing and composite sock and they didn't disappoint. My feet were dry and unharmed. They look fantastic paired with a pair of Carhartt Men's Force Socks. I worked 13-hour shifts, did a lot and was on my feet all day. A good 7 hours of it climbing trailers and back. And ONLY THEN did my legs really start to bother me, my legs would have died in my old boots by the end. If they last a few years then I know exactly what my next pair of boots will be.
