first of all i don't use minc. I use a professional grade 7 mil laminator because I make a lot of foil in my shop. Anyone who has ever complained about blotching knows the 4 main reasons why: 1. Your laser printer isn't applying enough toner. Make sure you have your printer settings set to DARK.2: Your laminator (or mink) is not hot enough. Let it get nice and hot before rolling anything up. Wait between jobs if you need to heat it up again. If my laminator beeps, I wait a few more minutes. 3: You have lint, hair, dust or anything between the foil and the paper or between the transfer sheet and the foil - this prevents heat from getting to the toner and giving you weird spots. 4: Your paper is not smooth enough. This process only works on really smooth paper. I tried it on watercolor paper like a genius when I first got it and the results weren't pretty. With these folders, thick, super smooth cardstock, and foil, I get 100ft rolls and my prints come out flawless every time. Single. Time.
