I've been doing network cabling for over ten years and I always buy connectors in bulk. I decided to try them out thinking they might save me time but I was wrong. The problem is that different manufacturers build their hardware a little differently, so sometimes they just work and sometimes you have to put in extra effort to make them work properly. As you can see from the top connector, it works fine with an old Netgear FS105 or WEme WM-2516 switch, but they won't work with all hardware as they can't be inserted far enough for the latch to snap into place. Instead you have to cut them with a razor blade, point them in the bottom connector so that they work with high-end network devices like the NETGEAR ProSAFE GS716T smart switch or some other elements like a TP-LINK TL-SG108 switch or two different CAT jacks I tried 6 keystones.
