Replaced a standard Logitech optical mouse that "just worked" for years but is a bit noisy. In fact, this mouse is much quieter than the good old Logitech. The clicks are barely audible, although the center scroll wheel button is slightly louder than the left and right mouse buttons. The scroll wheel is almost noiseless. This mouse's movement is almost as quiet as Logitech's. This mouse is much smaller than Logitech, as you would expect from the "thin and compact" description. However, it's a little less than I expected. I would call it "childish" rather than "compact". This size might be fine for casual laptop use, but as an everyday mouse, well, we'll see. It takes some getting used to. The cable can be a few feet longer for desktop use. A USB extension cable is recommended if you have a large desk. Otherwise, it works perfectly and, as promised, is almost silent.
