Bought for my 6 month old granddaughter's bedroom when she caught a winter cold. Certainly helps her to breathe, cough and sleep. It's safe because it's a cool mist, but you have to keep the mist off the bed or it will leave the sheets damp. We put a towel under the windowsill to catch water droplets and keep the carpet underneath dry. We also bought a hygrometer to monitor the overall humidity in the room. This humidifier is perfect because you can add Vicks Pediatric Rosemary Lavender Aroma Pads without needing another outlet. Please note that only rosemary and lavender scented pads are recommended for children over 3 months and over 4.5kg as menthol is intended for children over 36 months.
