Review on πŸ”¨ OWDEN Leather Carving Hammer - Professional Leathercraft Tool with Nylon Head and Leather Grip Handle (Sizes: Large or Small, 1.2 LB) by Kay Daniels

Good value for money. Don't buy a $12 hammer. take it instead Welcome back. Welcome, this is yours.

Update: It costs about $45 now. In this case, he's approaching the hammers of Barry King. If you're in the States, spend a little more, get US-made tools, and put the money back into the economy. Almost as good as my Barry King Maul but half the price. If you want the best, throw away a lot more money and want to buy an American, buy a Barry King. If you just need a good heavy sledgehammer to bang your chisels in and don't care where it's made, then get one. I wish I had bought that first. Seriously, if you're going to spend $12 on a hammer, just stop messing around and spend $30 for Β£1.2. It feels good in the hand and the shots are reliable. The construction feels solid and should last a lifetime (I hope!). The nylon has some strong grooves. I'm not sure if that helps, but I haven't noticed any ill effects from it. Barry King has grooves too, but not as deep. Other fine leather craftsmen in my office have also bought them and they are all happy.
