Great price to make

This is a hammer at a fantastic price. The beautiful stacked leather handle has been perfectly finished except for a tiny imperfection near the head. A lot of weight for him, although just a few grams more in the head would have made him perfect. Much better than the glut of $12-15 hammers out there. Not sure how far it is from Barry King, but I can't see myself wanting to upgrade unless I really need more weight or size (or shiny brass).

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Approximately

Interesting design - Leatherworking

I was a bit scared when I realized that the tool does not have a smooth side. I've tried it with several tools and have never stopped using it to make many of the Christmas gifts I'm working on. I'm not sure if the wrinkled face is an improvement or not, but it hasn't slowed me down. The transition to a lighter, tapered sledgehammer was also different than the regular one I use for leatherwork, but it was a smooth transition.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Some little things

Update: It costs about $45 now. In this case, he's approaching the hammers of Barry King. If you're in the States, spend a little more, get US-made tools, and put the money back into the economy. Almost as good as my Barry King Maul but half the price. If you want the best, throw away a lot more money and want to buy an American, buy a Barry King. If you just need a good heavy sledgehammer to bang your chisels in and don't care where it's made, then get one. I wish I had bought that first…

Pretty good, almost perfect.

Does the job, holds up to heavy use and I don't regret buying it. The handle is slightly directly below the head of the sledgehammer. look broken. Like the handle was screwed in too tight or the faux wood they use for the handle is wrinkled or something. hard to describe, but this is purely cosmetic and does not affect the functionality of the hammer. I bought the heavier version and I'm glad I did. good device.

Pros
  • The hammer head is made of high quality nylon. The non-slip hammer head allows the artist better control over each hit.
Cons
  • Only available in white

Nice. That's great!

This arrived a few weeks ago and I've used it a lot since then. And here's my review: It arrived very nicely packaged. I expect. Shit. And I got a jewel. Plus it's pretty damn good to look at. The weight. This is supposed to be a 1.0 pound sledgehammer. Lead weighs 1 lb 1.5 oz. Not a big deal, but not for sure. I use it every day. Several hours a day. And I hit about it. So far it's holding up great. I've read some reviews that suggest it has a tendency to fall apart. I haven't noticed it yet…

Pros
  • The hammer has an ergonomic shape and proportions best suited for use by the artist.
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Update: Unfortunately, after only two weeks of light to moderate use, the top is now crooked and the hammer does not hit it evenly. Screw was not tightened. Initially I was very happy with this product but it doesn't seem to be very durable unless I come across a broken one. I'll be returning it and maybe trying a larger size, if this one doesn't work I'll probably just have to give up and end up with Barry King, which is a shame because it initially seemed pretty good and a solid piece of…

Pros
  • Professional leather carving hammer, quality nylon head and brown leather handle.
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen
