I bought this product thinking it would be a great addition as we buy melon every week in the summer and it's messy to cut and I'm not looking forward to it. After using this product I noticed the following: 1. The wire doesn't cut well and you have to press hard to go through the melon. The result of sliced melon bruises on the way through.2. It is difficult to keep the cut on the edge of the rind so as not to lose part of the melon. The wire was torn off the shell by the blunt cutting wire.3. The clamping portion of this tool doesn't do a good job of pulling out a slice of watermelon. In several attempts to pull the disc out, I injured myself and eventually broke free. I fell twice trying to pull her out of the bowler hat and injured her even more.4. After just one bite, this product was put back in the box to give away at the next $10 limit office Christmas party where all gifts are a total joke. This product does both.
