With clear labeling of the detergent components and excellent product ratings - this negative rating is probably the exception. We have a mid-to-high-end Miele dishwasher that works very well with no issues. Recently, we wanted to remove all potentially hazardous chemicals from our home, and our usual dishwasher packaging (which always left a soapy residue) was replaced with Puracy. After the first wash, I came into the kitchen early in the morning and found water on the kitchen countertop and noticed that the water was running down the countertop and pooling on the wooden floor. It was very strange as no one poured water in the sink at night. However, this event did not repeat itself - a few days later I turned on the dishwasher in the evening and, entering the kitchen, I noticed that a huge amount of foam came out from under the dishwasher and spread on the floor. A puddle of water formed where the foam had stood for several minutes. I opened the dishwasher and found it full of foam (the cycle was on "Rinse"). In summary, for some reason this soap creates so much suds (and possibly increases the pressure in the dishwasher) that the suds pour onto the top/sides/bottom of the dishwasher door. Let's hope this is an odd reaction in that dishwasher, but if you have a Miele keep an eye on the dishwasher during the first few rinses with this soap.
