This provided an illumination field almost as large as a 10" flashlight but was much easier to work with - for a smaller size. The 6" flashlight was handy as a clip on a phone (and was battery powered), but wasn't great for Zoom calls with a laptop. I figured the lack of battery might be the problem, but I have to turn off my laptop to fix the problem. It's easy and convenient to use, it has a good range of features and at a great price. I would buy it again. UPDATE: As another reviewer said, the cable, coming out of the ring, very close to the tripod mount, but I fixed this by buying a thin, wide-spaced extension, the "SMALLRIG Standard 15mm Micro Rod". 1.5" long with 1/4 " External threads here at Revain.
