They "really block the blue". I give 4 stars because the optics are not very pleasant: you can see through cheap yellow plastic. Without the "Blue Block" feature, these glasses appear to cost under $10. However, after a week of wearing in July under the Florida sun, the eyes tire a lot less: they really relieve the eyes from the bright sun. Note that the driving cues are different: green lights are hard to see, and the overall driving experience is different: it's hard to describe, but you're in an "altered reality" with no blue light depth cues. The shadows are deeper and the contrast is higher. I'm a fan of the "Amber" concept and these glasses are reasonably priced, but next time I'd probably spend a little more for better optics. Also, my kids say I look like an idiot with these glasses on, but I'm fine with that.
