I was very impressed with the strength of the panels! I stacked food but the plate didn't sink at all! Solid Solid Solid records! It was much stronger than standard paper, and plastic code tags could be used in the grocery store. I felt good buying a product that helps the environment. But to be honest the prices aren't competitive for big cities where grocery stores are on every corner. Most 100 record products cost less than $5. If they lower their price to $8.00 or $9.00 it will be very competitive compared to the strength of the plate. I found 100 wheat slabs for about $5 but they were slightly smaller at 7 inches. I just don't understand the need to pay more than $10 for disposable plates. I tried using a damp cleaning brush on the plate to see if they could be reused and noticed a thick, mushy material from the scraper on the top of the plate. It just shows that it breaks down well in the environment.
