Cleans pots well. Stainless steel mail appears to be rust resistant and durable. The problem lies in the middle part of the "silicone". Although flexible, it is not resilient. I put my mop in the dishwasher and it broke. I tried using it in a pot with some water and a burning flame and it melted. The silicone has a melting point of 2577°F, so either I have diamond hands when holding it barehanded, or this insert is made of a low quality material. I will try to get mine back. If you do get it just be warned, only use with warm water and clean in the same way.
