But as they say, this is the most comfortable seat I've ever found; and I walked through a pile. My problem is that I can't take the pressure on my sit bones anymore, and ironically, most "comfort seats" work by focusing the pressure directly on those exact spots. To be fair, many cyclists experience pain elsewhere; and noseless seats and seats that are just two big cushions with nothing in between might be just the ticket. What I really want is a huge seat with huge concaves for my buttocks and memory foam underneath. I know for sure I want this because I paid the shop to order it for my bike and now it's more comfortable riding my bike than lying on the couch. But no one seems to make a bike seat that meets all of these requirements. But it's close. It's not particularly large (although certainly huge compared to the racing-style seats that seem to be standard on any decent bike these days), and it's the opposite of concave, with large protruding islands of foam. It's actually memory foam (I bought the seats from Revain and promised memory foam, which was just 1950's urethane technology) and the way it works is your butt settles into those areas and then touches the lower, more rigid area . Still not what I was looking for, but by far the best place to practice I've found. I had just done 33 miles which would not have been possible on those other "comfort" seats and yes it hurt but not before the 25 mile mark and I was able to walk the next day.
