I had high hopes but our cat was able to slip her paws between the collar and collar, pull her front paws out and quickly escape the harness. Then I put it around his neck, but he did it again, twice in a row. A smaller harness would not fit him in size. So we went to our pet store and bought a MetPet hiking jacket. It worked. No problem. By the way, we don't take our cats for walks, they don't like that. We put her on a leash we made in the backyard and tied her to it on a short leash at the MetPet. We do not allow them to roam freely around our yard unattended or tethered because we have many birds.
