Review on 𧱠HIC Solid Carrara Marble Footed Mortar and Pestle Set - Spice Herb Grinder by Albert Lee
Beautiful and meaningful!
I have just received this item and it is not only beautiful but strong/heavy/durable. The end of the pestle and the interior of the mortar are rough (i.e. not ground/polished) and initially leave a white powder residue. It can be easily and (mostly) fixed by grinding dry white rice in it for a few minutes. After throwing away the rice, simply wipe it off with a damp paper towel and there shouldn't be any traces of powder left on it. This is new to me so we'll see if both items hold up with continued use.
