This non-contact voltage tester is great! It detects voltage without physical contact with cords or outlets. When the meter approaches a live cord or outlet, it warns you about an inch before contact that the item is live or hot. I work in the maintenance industry and have used a Klein brand counter which is about the same price but the Amazon private label is much better value for money. It also has a flashlight, which comes in handy in dark places like over ceiling tiles. Keep in mind that it's not intended to be used as a flashlight, so it's not the brightest LED. I definitely recommend this product. I bought this for home use and will definitely be buying a few for work for myself and co-workers.
