Suitable for Alienware 17 R4 without protruding bearing parts. Decent airflow. It's mostly hard plastic, so I bet the tabs that are supposed to keep the laptop from sliding around could eventually break if the laptop is heavy, but many other options have a single central ridge that doesn't mate well with the triangular edge by Alienware works. I don't care about the lights at all, but if you need it they have a few color and animation settings. So far very happy with this purchase.
