This is the easiest and safest way to hook up the Arduino Mega. The angle and position of the ports allow you to connect and disconnect any cable, even if all ports are occupied. Full availability. And if the Arduino fails, I can just unplug it, swap out the Arduino, and plug it back in. It is not necessary to pull on every single wire. When I started my project I used a breadboard and a sea of wires. Sometimes I would cling to the wire and wonder why my project suddenly stopped working properly. I got it and I've never regretted it. They even included a power LED and a reset button, so those using those aren't protected. If I had to say something bad, I would mention that the RX and TX LEDs are covered, so when you upload your sketch to the Arduino you can't see when it started or stopped. But then again, the Arduino IDE tells you when the programming started and stopped, so it doesn't matter.
