I ordered this blue jacket for my eldest son, dinosaur green for my middle son and pink for my daughter. I wish they were baby sized too! They are way better than I expected. I love the colorful prints on the kids rain jacket, they look nice, heavy and good quality. I think I was expecting something even lighter, but I live in the southern United States, so I may have a different understanding of the word "easy". They're not really thick, but probably warm enough for our fleece-lined winter, especially if we layer up. If I remember correctly I bought 8/9 for my above average 7 year old and 4/5 for my petite 4 year old daughter. I wanted them to be a bit big but not choke them so they have room to grow during the rainy season and wear thicker winter clothing if needed. For my medium sized 5 year old son I originally bought the 5/6 but it just seemed to fit him so we upsized and it was perfect. If you want it to fit I think they run true to size, but if you want room to grow you should choose a size based on your child's build.
