They were purchased with the intention of using them as drinking glasses at a baby shower. They are made of hard plastic and are very brittle, making the jars easy to crack, break and shatter at the end of the stack. Because they are so brittle and break easily, they are not suitable for any liquids or beverages. However, they are perfect for cups of fresh fruit or cups of raw vegetables; Peanuts or other dry snacks. If they break, the plastic is hard and has sharp edges, so they're not ideal for young children.
