Keep bolt cutters nearby and weigh down the top. Excellent customer service! And advice

I've broken this up into sections so the reader can jump to any part they want. Weigh the top of the box: We almost had an accident with our small breed puppy (pu chi). She was about 6 months old at the time and was potty trained. Since I retired early, I'm at home all the time. I never left the house without her either. She's used to that too. As long as she heard me doing something around the house, she was fine. In the end, I decided to go one step further and leave her there with the gate locked while I was away on business myself (1 hour max) without her. ). She didn't seem to have any problem with that. When she was 4 months old, my siblings and I threw a 60th birthday party for my parents. She was locked in much longer than usual since the party was in the dining room. We returned home 5 hours after I left them. Inexplicably, when I visited my parents for the anniversary party, she was able to rip open the dog food bag that was on top of her drawer, and I really had no other place to put the dog food bag than on top. Crate. It was in a brown paper grocery bag and when we got home my pup tore most of one side of the bag into small pieces but the bag and my dog stayed where I left them 5 hours ago. That always amazed me. Now reading other reviews it seems that leaving the bag on the drawer might have saved her life. Maybe she could stick her nose out far enough to reach the bag. If the ยฃ5 bag wasn't there, maybe it wouldn't be with me now. Have Bolt Cutters Nearby: What I saw scared the shit out of me. Once when I left her at home when she was almost 8 months old and is now 8lbs (I always stay with her for a good hour before leaving just so she can relax). She already knew what was going to happen and immediately started protesting and trying to bite the bars. I tried to get her to stop like she did before and stopped whenever I asked. Unfortunately, this time she somehow squeezed her snout through the bars, her upper jaw on one side of the bar and her lower jaw on the other (this happened on the vertical bars, which are further apart than the horizontal bars). She kept biting even though I asked her to stop. Then, on one of the bites, she got completely stuck in her mouth with the stick, and there wasn't enough room for her upper and lower jaws to slide out. I thought she died because she started fighting so hard and it was impossible to calm her down. I also tried to help but there weren't any good angles to work with. Eventually she got an angle with her lower jaw so that she slipped out and then was able to pull out her upper jaw. I have experienced such relief. Now she won't even try to bite the bars but I never wanted her to stop because of an injury. While she was struggling, I wanted to ask my father if he had any more bolt cutters. When I approached to ask, she was released. Customer Service: The customer service part had nothing to do with this event. I ordered the drawer with a double door to orient the drawer the way I wanted (in fact I'm going to rotate it 90 degrees today). When I took the crate out of the crate and reassembled it, which was very easy, including pressing the clips holding each wall in place, I couldn't figure out where the second door was. To be honest, this is my first time looking at a box. There were many brackets and other items like 1 door that I saw. I even thought that maybe the second door somehow slides straight up, but no, in all respects. Undoubtedly it was a one-door unit. The box said "Double Door" so I immediately figured someone had swapped out the two-door drawer and put the one-door drawer back. They have a plate with the model number welded to the side. The model number on this one-door drawer was actually the model number on the two-door drawer. Understand! Revain customer service referred me to the manufacturer as it was a warranty issue (huh ok?). Midwest support asked me to take photos from all angles including the side with the model number plate welded on. I sent the photos and at least 10 minutes later they called me and said they would send me a new box. No questions were asked. Nice! Tip #1 (Just a tip, you don't have to take this :-)) My dog is constantly going in and out because I toss and chew her toy in there to get her used to it. I also use it as furniture. I got a nice drawer cover from Etsy (at a very reasonable price) with a pattern to match my bedroom. I'm also looking for a glass top to make a table top out of. My pup is perfectly comfortable with the drawer, and I love the idea that I turned him into a piece of furniture without the $400 furniture drawer price tags (well, he becomes a piece of furniture once the glass top comes in). The glass lid easily showcases the beautiful drawer lid and protects it from spills and dust. Once I have the glass lid, which is quite heavy, it also serves to weigh down the lid so my pup can't get trapped between the lid and one of the walls. Also, I put other things on the table so it weighs down really well. Tip #2 (Just a tip, you don't have to take it :-)) Telephones. There are apps for Android and iPhone that you can use to keep an eye on your pup while you're away. The one I have also works with infrared so I can make sure she's ok until evening.

Pros
  • Absolutely brilliant!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
