Review on FieldView Compact Binoculars 8X32 for Bird Watching by Wingspan Optics - Lightweight and Compact for Clear, Bright Bird Watching, Outdoor Sports Games, and Concerts by Jake Davies

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for the price

Bought for deer and wild boar hunting. They replaced an old Bushnell 8x24 compact binocular that was blurry. I miss the lightness and greater compactness of those old Bushnells. . . but nothing else. These Wingspan binoculars are brighter and sharper than any Bushnell model ever was; In fact, I can use them to focus through the undergrowth or thickets to see behind. And (although it takes some technique and practice, and the field of view will always be smaller), I can use them with my glasses. What a time saver. The focus knob is easy to use and they are easy to set and stay set. But they are significantly heavier than my old compact binoculars. The eyepieces are a bit uncomfortable, sometimes twisting on their own or unscrewing. And they (eyepieces made of inconspicuous thin plastic) look cheap. As mentioned above, using binoculars with goggles on will significantly narrow your field of view. Built-in lens caps are difficult to snap into place, and the removable one-piece eyepiece cap takes a little getting used to. might be a little disappointed. But how much do they actually cost, wow! So far, so good. (Of course, I'm still wondering if they'll fall apart one day or otherwise suddenly lose value, but that hasn't happened yet. I guess I'm still scared that I'll end up getting what I paid for.) . With that in mind, I'm happy to recommend them to other users.

Pros
  • ERGO-COMFORTABLE NON-SLIP HANDLE MEANS YOU CAN LOVE HOURS OF BIRD WATCHING, GAMES OR OUTDOOR CONCERTS without missing a single moment! Use them for any outdoor activities like bird watching, games or concerts, even star gazing. They are great for indoor events like an indoor concert or opera.
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
