I've never liked the steering wheel on my Grant. It is covered with leather but too thin. On the advice of a friend, I decided to put another case on top of the existing one. All in all, the results are amazing! Now the handlebars feel much better with a thicker grip. This case was made from high quality materials. They gave a lot of wax thread to work with. The videos available online were very helpful and gave several lacing options. Basically I did two full revolutions of the sewing wheel. This gave me a rigid "X-shape". Looks professional. I suggest you get your front wheels off the ground so you can rotate the handlebars easily. Along with the bright lighting, this step allows you to position the steering wheel in the way that suits you best. It took me over two hours to install.
