Reliable Little PoE Switch

This is a very simple 5-port PoE and VLAN switch. I'm using it in a media closet to connect a Roku, IP control for a TV and AVR, a relay for a TV elevator, and a wireless access point that manages multiple VLANs on a backbone. It does the job. The power budget is enough to handle most tasks (unlike other small switches that use PoE pass-through and a max power of around 15W). I'm using a wireless access point and relay to control a TV lift over PoE. Working with VLAN is extremely easy. QoS exists in a simple form that is probably more important to people using VoIP. It can create a mirror port. You can disable/enable PoE through the remote reboot interface. This allows for a simple two-port LAG on ports 3 and 4 (no LACP). This is a dependable little switch for a tiny 5 port deal. Observations: * No HTTPS or SSH management * Monitoring is easy. It shows the port counters. No SNMP* You cannot select ports to run LAG. Personally, I would prefer to use the no-power port for a single connection.* It's hardwired for jumbo frames. You can't have jumbo frames if you want to limit your MTU. * Loop detection/prevention is NOT based on spanning trees, which may be useful for those working in an office. I had little switches that looped up under people's desks (people are popping and pulling in a panic) and turned off the whole stack of switches (up to 802.1x). The spanning tree can also be dangerous. Dumb loop prevention like this is probably best. I am impressed. I really wish it had HTTPS, but for the money it's solid.
