Nice feature. Not very nice appearance

worked great in my case. Other reviewers have noted that their item appears to have been used. In my case the soldering and general appearance of the lower parts of the valve looked like they had been carelessly soldered. But I don't think that's a used valve. Whatever they did, it wasn't designed to look flawless. I was concerned but the pre-soldered connections didn't leak at all. Also note that this particular valve does not include an aggressive under-deck clamp system. The picture does not show this system either. You show what you get. Two nuts and one washer per valve body. However, the valves hold up well on the 2x6 platform I built. Either straight or perpendicular depending on what type of pipe it was. On my valve they were very tight but not perfectly aligned. But in the end I had no problems. Another detail is that the tube on this valve appears to be made of brass. Not copper. I was concerned about how the solder would hold, but it actually held up well. No leaks. I used a basic lead-free solder and flux kit that I bought from Home Depot along with Map-Gas. When soldering this valve, keep in mind that the plastic cartridges cannot be removed. So don't apply excessive heat and cool the valve with something damp when you're done. I'm an amateur (at best). but this advice from the experts is worth knowing. In terms of function, I think it's a great valve. For the finish line? Not as much. I removed a star because I didn't want it to look like they threw it off a mountain after it was made. outlook
