Review on Princeton Tec SWERVE Swerve Taillight by Peter Nobles

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent visibility; durable plastic. Bought another one for my other bike.

Best features: 1. Excellent visibility: Unlike cheap flashlights, this device has a mirrored reflector behind each lamp that really sticks out! The guys from my bike club confirmed that. In flash mode, the top and bottom lamps flash on and off alternately. The other mode is always on (which I never use). 2. Easy and quick attachment with a rubber O-ring on the seat tube (best place) or on the seat tube. It can also be attached to a saddlebag in a pinch (not recommended - see #3). It's very easy and quick to switch it to another bike if you have more than one ride. FOR MAXIMUM VISIBILITY: Before each ride, I walk 15 feet behind the bike and adjust the up/down angle for the brightest flash, and then you're done. 3. Made of durable high-impact plastic, can withstand impact. At first I strapped mine to the bag under the seat, but when it hit a bump it flew away and crashed onto the pavement. no damage has occurred. Use an O-ring. 4. Uses 2 regular AAA batteries, no need to fiddle with the charger although you have the option if you want to use rechargeable AAA batteries. .They last a while. And it lets you know when it's time to change: instead of both lights flashing, one stays on all the time. So check the lights after every ride.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Periodicity
