Yes wine snob, 400+ bottles in the cellar, fairly solid taste, delved into finer wines like Burgundy, even (once) a blind tasting of aged Italian reds. I've had pretty much every wine storage system, be it vacuum, air displacement, argon, or whatever. This little system works surprisingly well and certainly better than gas (unless you buy industrial tanks) and vacuum pumps. I can drink a glass or two from the bottle, pour, cap and then 2-3 days later it's still 95% of what it was and often my everyday wines are just good young wines ($10-20) , they actually improved. I bought plastic and it works great. I will definitely try the glass one, but the plastic one is very easy to clean, often I just rinse it with filtered water.
