I have a Mastech MS8221 Auto/Manual Range DMM and it was a lot less bulky than this 2 inch multimeter. However, the size wouldn't bother me if the screen actually worked correctly, but the LCD segments flicker on and off randomly, making it almost impossible to read the values. When the frequency mode is set, the entire lower half of the display goes out. (see customer photos) I tried a new battery to make sure it wasn't a power issue, but that didn't help. I think mine is bad but maybe it doesn't make sense to send it back from my country. Update: The rating has changed from 1 star to 3 stars since I opened the multimeter and cleaned the pins leading to the LCD screen which stopped the flickering segments. . I would give 4 stars but you really didn't have to open your new gauge to have it repaired.
