This roof rack was great! Installed on a 2018 Subaru CrossTrek with cross members. We loaded 2 weekend trolleys, a large duffel bag, 2 beach bags and a holdall into the roof rack. On the way from Alabama to Chicago we didn't have a "digger" on the roof or any noise. At several rest stops, 2 people asked for a roof rack and I had them photographed. On the way home it rained intermittently for 6-8 hours. We came home with dry luggage and beach bags. The canvas was damp from the journey, but not in the bag. Today I put the carrier outside to fully dry the bag in the sun. I flipped it inside out on both sides within an hour and was able to fold it up and put it back into the carrying case that came with the product. To carry more items on the roof, I plan to move the crossbars and spread out more of the roof bag. This is the right size for the car I currently drive. To facilitate handling, place the bag on the roof, load luggage, tighten the straps, close the bag and use additional straps if necessary.
