I only bought this to check codes on my cars and so far it has worked as expected. Keep in mind that this is a simple tool and will only give you a general description of your code. I had to take my generic code and look it up on the internet by model, but it's still better than going to a mechanic or parts store to have the code verified. There's also a real-time monitoring feature, which I found useful for a recent upgrade to my car's intake, simply monitoring the fuel-air mixture while driving with the scanner connected. As my first and only OBDII scanner I think this is very satisfactory considering its price. If you just want to check and clear codes, this thing is for you.
