They're not the loudest, but loud enough. They lasted long enough for me to purchase a second pair for our second console (this purchase). However, one of the ear pads came off. I managed to get it back in place so it wasn't worth the hassle with the return process. My daughter often uses the original pair and she loves them. Aside from the wayward ear pads, I like mine too
