I am very satisfied with this product. I bought this to replace my broken Chemex. I've been a barista for a long time and I know many people who swear that a Chemex Pour Over made right is the best mug in the world. But I honestly think the coffee he makes is tastier than any infusion I've tried. I've also used good automatic drip machines, Keurig, Nespressos, French presses, mocha pots, but the percolator is my new favorite brewing method. This machine makes it so easy; not as easy as Keurig or Nespresso, but I'm trying to get away from running near-boiling water through plastic tubing and pods. Which brings me to my next point: ABSOLUTELY NO PLASTIC coming into contact with the coffee. I read here that someone had plastic pieces inside where the handle attaches. I don't know if it was an old model or something, but inside I have nothing but stainless steel. I also read that people find ground beans in their coffee here. There is a simple explanation for this: these people use ground coffee that is not designed for this brewing method. Buy yourself fresh whole bean coffee and a burr grinder (I have a decent Mr. Coffee for about $25), set it on a coarse French press-style grinder, and you won't mess with your finished coffee deal with beans. . It is non-negotiable whether you want to use this machine. Grocery store ground coffee won't work; The grind is too fine for this machine to brew properly. I also love that this machine keeps my coffee hot after I'm done brewing without overcooking it like some automatic drippers do. All in all, I would recommend this coffee maker to anyone who appreciates good coffee!
