IS THIS PRODUCT WORTH OUR MONEY?

With all the "new" ways to sharpen knives, chisels, razors, etc. Can be overwhelming just figuring out which stone to buy and roughness/fineness, oils/water, soak/splash, ceramic/diamond/glass, natural/artificial etc etc etc. And if you are new to sharpening or again coming back to that, please do a little research. There's a lot of space. I bought "budget" stones and now "medium price" stones. You may be wondering, as I did, "Why?" Why waste those extra dollars when you can get the same sandstone from anyone for a quarter of the price. Well, in my experience, with cheap stones (less than $20), you get what you pay for. Most cheap stones wear out very quickly, rarely have the grit advertised, take forever to cut, and are usually smaller in width and/or thickness. You can play the Grindstone Gambit as many times as you like. But you end up ending up here or maybe in a shako or a king. But you will be here. So save yourself some extra $ now. Don't be like me and don't waste your money on unprofessional cheap tricks. This product comes with a standalone case. it's spatter and stone. arrived undamaged and on time. My only complaint/suggestion is perhaps the instructions in multiple languages. especially if you are new to sharpening! and therefore no 5 stars
