Amazing stone all over

This is an imported version so be aware of this and what it includes (guarantee!). But otherwise VERY CUTE. High grit, but you can still see that the metal comes off relatively quickly. Helps sharpen the blade of still-sharp blades (like your handy SAK). Give me a good razor blade. Being able to use this with minimal water consumption is an amazing improvement over traditional rotary and soaking stones. Setup, use and cleaning made easy. Good alternative to Shapton Pro #8000 (US version)

This is the Japanese version of Shapton Pro stones. They differ in price by about $30 a brick, but as far as I can tell they're pretty much the same as the US version. I've read in some marketing materials that the two versions are worded differently to account for the different climate/humidity but this could be a marketing ploy. I also think they are not covered by the same Shapton warranty in the US so be careful. It gives my blades an almost mirror-like shine. I use them on kitchen knives…

IS THIS PRODUCT WORTH OUR MONEY?

With all the "new" ways to sharpen knives, chisels, razors, etc. Can be overwhelming just figuring out which stone to buy and roughness/fineness, oils/water, soak/splash, ceramic/diamond/glass, natural/artificial etc etc etc. And if you are new to sharpening or again coming back to that, please do a little research.
