Christmas present

I bought two of these on Cyber Monday as Christmas presents (one for me and one for my grandparents). We just installed them today and they both work perfectly, were easy to install and work - so quiet. I have an LG TV and love the LG brand so I wanted to stick with them and I'm glad I did because they are great. I'll update this if I have other comments, but so far every feature works on BOTH BD players. Looks like I'll be staying loyal to LG for some time to come. Also, a couple of quick updates after this has been going on all day: It was said to not resume playback, ie it doesn't pick up where it left off. I noticed this happening when I pulled the player out of the paused state because pausing seems to stop the drive and I didn't want to leave it powered on when I left the house. However, I decided to just eject another movie from the paused state, and after watching a few other discs, the ejected disc that was in the paused state started coming back from where it was when I reinserted the disc. know if every disc will do this, but for now playback continued that way. On the other hand, if you are a quiet person and have a quiet room or bedroom, you may hear some noise from the player. Just a faint high-pitched hum while playing or pausing, and you can almost always hear the laser's movement clearly when you jump, pause, etc. Nothing special, but enough to drive you crazy if you focus on it. Small drawback, but still the best device for the money.

Pros
  • Blu-ray player and recorder
Cons
  • Requires an outlet
