A must have if you have a 'garage vacuum'. Replace the filters, wash the dirty one, put it in a safe place and repeat over and over again. The filter itself works well, but the design of the vacuum is too dependent on the filter and it's impossible to remove the filter without making a big mess. It snaps securely enough into a groove on the underside of the inside of the vacuum cleaner, but sometimes you have to push down so that it hooks in as far as possible and nothing slips past it. I wish they would develop a "vortex" type device that could be used in a vacuum instead of a filter or in addition to a filter so that the filter doesn't need to be serviced as often.
