Review on ๐Ÿš— Enhance Your Ride with the Firestone Ride-Rite 2550 Air Helper Spring Kit by Andrew Lyons

Great product, easy to install and works exactly as expected.

I'm towing a 18km 3 axle gooseneck and a 14km '99 Ford F350 and the ride has always been pretty rough. I put new dampers in front and rear and it worked for a few people, but I still felt every bridge crossing or ripple in the road. Everything changed after installing the Firestone Ride-Rite 2550 Air Helper Springs. The kit includes everything you need for installation. . There is some left (the same kit is used on several different cars), but the instructions say it will be. The parts were well packaged and easy to identify. My bed had a hidden hitch installed, so some of the holes used in the bag set were already used. I had to remove those screws and reuse the top ones. Installation was pretty easy. I don't mind working on my truck but it's not my favorite thing to do so I was a little apprehensive about installing it. It took me about 1.5 hours to install the first side, but the second finished much quicker. I found it easiest to install both panels on the truck first and then install the bag (some video instructions say to install the panels on the bags first). I raised the back of the truck off the hanger a bit (without lifting the truck off the ground) and it made things a lot easier, gave me more work space and made it easier to place the bags correctly. Air installation was easy. I ended up inserting mine through the bottom rear mounting holes on my license plate (had to enlarge the holes a bit) which allows the shocks to vent very easily. The only thing I want to do is buy an air compressor kit along with this one. I will be installing this over the next few months as my RV and gooseneck require different amounts of air. All in all a very good product.
