I found the wire color accurate but it's a little under 3mm (I haven't measured but all my 3mm from other brands tend to be a bit thicker). The cable has a nice feel but not as soft as many others. If you're looking for a really soft cable to work with, try brands from Turkey (they're usually more expensive, but the color and feel are amazing!). If you don't have very soft/sensitive skin and are looking for a combination of good value and good (but not amazing) quality, then this is probably your cable. And one more note, why so much packaging? The simple plastic packaging was enough protection for every other cable I've ever ordered. I didn't deduct points for that, but it would be nice if they were more environmentally friendly.
