We had the most frustrating audio issue in my sister's 2009 Toyota Corolla where no matter what AUX cable was used it would immediately switch back to FM/AM if there was audio on the road. met, and sometimes did not even notice that the AUX cable was connected. There was also crackling from the back seat all the time and most of the time you could only hear the sound from one side or the other, even though you didn't change the settings. . After some digging, I found that replacing this part might solve the problem, so I decided to give it a try. I watched a YouTube tutorial video (I had to surf about 3 to find a well explained one) and literally with a spoon (I didn't want to break anything) and a screwdriver, the installation only took about 20 minutes. Has been working great for 2.5 months! I was also a bit nervous about buying a car part from Amazon, so I'm glad that solved the problem and was easy to install myself (because of course we were all annoyed with the car).
