Review on Swingline Desktop Precision Adjustable Capacity by Kim Sanchez

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Fairly inexpensive but not easy to set up

Just received and a bit disappointed in not being easy to adjust. After years of punching scripts (3 holes on the side) and legal documents (2 holes on top), most of the work has now shifted to electronic "paper". But sometimes, when you still need real paper, a hole punch comes to the rescue. I got this when I suddenly needed to replace a trusty old all-metal 3-hole punch that was finally wearing out (after 30 years!) PROS: - Heavy enough to stay in place while punching holes. Not skinny. Easily punches 5-8 sheets of paper at a time. Price. $8 is a good deal. If it works. CONS: - Not easy to set up. You need to loosen and move the 3 screws on the bottom. I think they're plastic, what if they break? that's all there is to the perforator. -- The holes are close to the edge of the paper and cannot be adjusted. -- Part metal construction only -- so far so good, but the rubber-plastic shell can work loose after a lot of use, and if just one of those screws breaks, then the whole puncher [haha, little pun ;-p] won't work.

Pros
  • PUNCH HEAD REPLACEMENT: The handy punch comes with an extra head. Replacement punches (A7074870) sold separately
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others
