Review on πŸ”§ Jagwire Pro Internal Routing Bicycle Repair Tool: Effortlessly Route Internal Bike Cables, Housing, and E-Shift Wires by Justin Newport

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not bad, but there is room for improvement.

This works and saves time for internally routed cables. The magnet was quite strong and the cable connectors were nice and solid. My complaint is that the space for cable connectors and magnet wire was not thought through. Not much space to stuff a small cable magnet + 2 plugs into the storage space. You have to enter them there. When opening, the wire acts like a spring (because it has to bend). I found the wire + 2 plugs fell out of the storage area. Also, the flexible tip magnet, which is supposed to help pull the cord, isn't long enough at about 2 inches. Having it a little longer would have helped grip the bottom of the tube when you hit obstacles. I will look for a longer flexible magnet. However, it was a huge time saver and cost half the price of Park tools.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
