Review on 🟨 Yellow 12.5oz Kato Polyclay by Van Aken International by Denise Davis

This is a good product, but PAIRS are TERRIBLE!

In general, everything is fine with this product. Good quality polymer clay at an affordable price. A little harder than the clays commonly used, but a bit of mineral oil softened it just enough for my liking. The colors blended well and I found I liked the firmer consistency as I'm still a beginner and the firm texture meant I could handle unfinished parts with awkward hands and they didn't warp out of shape. absolutely unbearable! The smell is not much different from inflatable pool toys that have just been taken out of the box. It's not strong enough that you can smell an opened package all over the room, but when you work it that close to your face for an extended period of time, it can get pretty nauseous. I'm already sensitive to chemical fumes, so after about an hour of mixing and conditioning I got a headache. Having a fan nearby to circulate the air helped a little, but not much. This brand also cooks at a different temperature and time than most other brands, so it can be difficult to fit into an existing collection. All in all, if you're on a budget and have a good tolerance for chemical fumes, then this might be the tone for you. But personally I think the quality and smoke isn't worth saving a few bucks for. Therefore, it can be difficult to be added to an existing collection. All in all, if you're on a budget and have a good tolerance for chemical fumes, then this tone might be for you. But personally I think the quality and smoke isn't worth saving a few bucks for. As such, it can be difficult to fit into an existing collection. VERY VERY HARD clay. Took me days to soften it enough to use it.
